Visiting Hershey

The next time that you are in the Hershey or Harrisburg area on business, such as the annual Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Conference, you might consider a visit to the Antique Auto Museum of Hershey.  We recently enjoyed a visit to this museum on a non-business trip to Hershey, as we found that we never had time during the Bureau Conference or other business trips to visit this museum.  It is located at 161 Museum Drive in Hershey which is about a five minute drive from the Hotel Hershey and the amusement park area.

We found the visit very worthwhile and spent over two hours at the museum, which presents the development and history of the automobile as it evolved from the form of horse and buggy into the modern car.  When we went to the museum in August, 2010, there was a special exhibit on the "muscle" cars of the 1960s and 1970s.  There also is an exhibit of antique buses on the lower level of the museum.  If you are a car buff or even have a casual interest in cars, you will find a visit to this museum very enjoyable and worthwhile.
